This past Sunday, June 17, The Rock and Roll Playhouse debuted at The Boulder Theater in Colorado with not one, but two massive Father’s Day celebrations featuring The Music of Grateful Dead for Kids. The jam-packed day was part of our series of events celebrating the music of Grateful Dead for Kids (of all ages) in 9 cities, across 10 venues.

Children and parents danced and limboed to Dead Floyd under a massive rainbow parachute. We had the best of the best local musicians: Charles Humphreys, Josh Miller, Jordan Young, Matt Goldberg, and Max Baudisch performed two stellar shows to psyched audiences. There was even a family of dancing bananas!

We had so much fun last weekend in Boulder that we’re coming back for two more family concerts this summer! Join us for The Music of The Beatles for Kids on Sunday, July 22 and for The Music of Phish for Kids on Sunday, August 26. Tickets for both shows are onsale now, get yours today.

Many thanks to our photographer, Dog Daze, for capturing the electric moments below and to everyone who made this day so special. Extra shout-out to all of our Grateful Dads!
