Questlove, Brooklyn Bowl, and The Rock and Roll Playhouse felt it was our duty to assist those in need after the devastation that occurred in the US Virgin Islands due to Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The decision was made for a family affair. In the same vein as Questlove’s infamous Thursday night residency, Bowl Train, we payed homage to the neo-soul greats along with the gods of funk, with all proceeds going to the St. John Rescue on the island of St. John USVI. Adults and children of all ages danced non-stop for 5 hours at the hippest family trip, featuring rare funk grooves, hip-hop, 80s, and more raising over $11,000 for disaster relief.

Don’t miss The Rock and Roll Playhouse’s next Family Party, at Brooklyn Bowl, on Sunday, October 29. This time, parents and children can rock out to the music of the Grateful Dead during a Halloween edition of The Rock and Roll Playhouse,. Expect some extra spooky surprises and activities!
