The thought of combining the musical forces of renowned drummer and legendary vinyl enthusiast with the songbook of the Grateful Dead could be called many things. Crazy? Educational? Inspiring? Most importantly it sounds like a lot of fun. This past Halloween we brought this whimsical proposition to reality with a 4 hour DJ set from Questlove followed by a stripped down set of Grateful Dead classics with Ross James and Nicki Bluhm.

The most incredible part of this story, this crossing of musical paths was for children.

Costumes galore, our guests were dressed to impress and danced for nearly 6 hours straight under Brooklyn Bowl’s fabled disco ball. Check out Marc Millman’s photo’s below along with some of our fan favorites!

Stay tuned, we have a feeling Questlove had so much fun that we’ll be bringing him back soon to play for you and your children!
